The team at Motorcycles New Zealand don't tend to sit behind desks and pore over maps to decide where the best biking tour routes are for customers. There is an expression in New Zealand called "getting out amongst it". We like to do the motorcycling equivalent of "getting out amongst it" and this sees us covering all corners of New Zealand in the quest to refamiliarise ourselves with this country's roads and best biking destinations.

As an example, Richard & Mike (pictured right at Milford Sound) need no encouragement to grab bikes, don helmets and ride the South Island scouting out new routes and updating their knowledge.

Richard is circumnavigating the island state of Tasmania in Australia on a Harley in September and Mike has just returned from a North Island ride. These are guys who like to ride bikes.

Occasionally the call of something more epic beckons, which saw Mike circumnavigate Australia on his Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom. He rode 17,350kms in 5 weeks by himself. His experiences have been published in a book called "Twisting Throttle Australia" published by HarperCollins.
